And you wanna know what?
Yesterday, as I relaxed and enjoyed my dinner on the deck, I realized that my business had a $7,000 DAY.
I don't often share my income reports or goals, but it just struck me, because as I've slowed down to become more present and intentional about everything, things really started coming together and momentum started building faster than ever before.
I share this with you because it's SO easy to get out of whack as an entrepreneur. You want to reach your goals so badly that everything else falls by the wayside. I'm certainly not here to lecture you about balance... clearly it's not my strongest suit 🤪 but this IS a gentle reminder that your health and happiness ARE the goal.
You're out to create a life that you want and a business that you love... so I encourage you to push hard AND be intentional about balance at the same time, because having it all IS possible.
Here are 3 of my top tips to find balance and soul satisfaction as a female entrepreneur:
Be intentional and set boundaries.
Your energy is one of the most important assets you have. Which makes setting and maintaining boundaries a critically important, yet often overlooked ESSENTIAL for all entrepreneurs. All humans, for that matter! When you know exactly what you aim to accomplish when you dive into your daily work, you'll get things done faster and more efficiently than if you grasp at straws or scroll your news feed or inbox every 4 minutes. Separating your work time from your personal time requires practice, but it's worth it. Other things to practice: Saying 'No' to invitations, people and projects that aren't in alignment with your overall goals and priorities.
Be honest with yourself and clear with your goals.
Life and business get a hell of a lot easier when you start doing things that give you the good vibes and fill you with energy. Be honest with yourself, set clear goals and and know when to keep your head down and your blinders on. You may also need to exercise your right to be unapologetic about what you're aiming for. Your goals are your own and no one else's, so no one gets to judge.
Take a moment to breathe.
Self care is truly sooooooo important. I always remember this in hindsight, but I can promise you that it's always been a game changer for me, even (and especially) when I don't feel like I have time for it. It's mandatory to love yourself up! Despite the fact that I'm guilty of wearing my "too busy" label as a badge of honor, I ALWAYS carve out the time I need to refill my tank. I learned my lesson after a terrible bout of burn out a long time ago, and I'll never go back!
Remember, when you lay the foundation, the rest will fall into place.
