Did you know that you can (and should!) use your mailing list to help your new subscribers get to like, know and trust you?
Building a community of people who are totally into what you're putting out there not only feels oh-so-good, it's just good business!
Think about it...
What would it mean for your monthly revenue 15% of the people who opened your emails turned into paying customers? Those are the kind of stats one small business I work with is seeing this year.
Want to know the best part? Before we started working together they had never emailed their mailing list... EVER! And they've been able to go from $4,000 months to $40,000 months. So, if you haven't been keeping in touch with your people, don't worry... there's still hope! 😉
Of course it's not as easy as some people make it look, but putting in the effort is worth it in the end.
Putting together a desirable product or offering a game changing service that people actually want to pay you for is seriously one of the best feelings you can have. That's the everyone is aiming for, right??
Part of succeeding at this is building an audience of people who are into what you're putting out there. Building an email list can help. It gives you ownership of your audience in a way that social media doesn't, and it also allows you to promote webinars, sell digital products, share knowledge, invite your audience to your groups and so much more!
If you're nodding along, let me ask you a few questions:
Did you answer no to any or all of those questions? Then read on!
One way to build and engage your mailing list is to create a freebie. When you create a freebie that people can opt into, it helps you feed a steady stream of interested people into your offers.
When you're creating a freebie it's important to consider a few things...
1) Most importantly: Who are you talking to? Who is your ideal client?
2) Next up, you'll want to create a freebie that can help solve one of the problems they're facing. Make sure you're super tuned into what they're struggling with before you start creating!
3) After you've created your freebie you'll want to have a welcome email sequence to help your new audience get to like, know and trust you. People rarely buy on their first time through, so it's important to keep in touch and stay top-of-mind while they think things through.
No idea what to email your audience? No worries! It's seriously one of the most common questions I get, but you'd be surprised how many great ideas you have inside of you, just beneath the surface. You just need to sit down and have a think about it. If you're still not sure, click below to download my free Welcome Email Templates.
Some ideas: Talk to them about your failures, debunk myths about your industry, share tips, provide value and above all else, HELP THEM! Especially if you're hoping they invest money in you and your services.
And last but not least...
Always, always provide an easy way for them to book the call or complete their purchase!
Building a solid, streamlined foundation is important if you're aiming for $5,000 months or beyond, and that starts with some basic organization and marketing strategy.
